Busy 2 Weeks

I will upload my pictures tonight, I will upload my pictures tonight….maybe if I keep saying it I will actually do it. I guess I just don’t want to believe vacation is over. Adjusting back to work and the reality of day to day life is not easy. And the fact that little man’s first birthday is exactly 2 weeks away is adding to my uneasiness. It’s an exciting time yes but my baby will officially be a toddler. I’m scrabbling to finish up some details for his party, which will be a very low key bbq at our house. I did decide on a theme and I’m trying my best to stick to it! Here are the invites that went out a few weeks ago, 100%homemade thanks to my mama helping me.



And since putting together Cole's bday party isn't enough for me to do with my free time, we have been working on several house projects that we hope to finish up before the party. Repainting our bedroom. We have gone gray, actually summit gray! It's almost finished and I can't beleive how much I love it! And after 2years of long debate on what to do in our kitchen...the backsplash is underway! The next 2 weeks will sure be busy but I can't wait! I will be sure to take pictures....I just need to get my lazy ass to upload them. :)


 

Guess Who Loved the Beach?!?

We had an amazing vacation and I have a crap load of photos and videos to upload and sort through. But for now here is Cole touching the Atlantic Ocean for the first time! Can you see the pure joy on his face?!

Bikes and Trikes

Last Friday our neighborhood had Bikes and Trikes for the kids. They closed off a road and let the kids bike back in forth. They also provided snacks,juice and pizza! This of course prompted me to give Cole his birthday present a few weeks early :)


Seriously how cute is this thing, it's a 3 in 1 trike so it will be a staple around our house for years to come. He really seemed to enjoy it and was so proud of his big boy self!Even if he was a little younger then most of the kids there it was fun to watch the other kids and he even got a few pushes on his new trike from the girls.













 

Brooke Visits

The last week has been so busy I can barley keep up! Last week Hubs sister Brooke was in town from Utah, we were so happy to get to spend some time with her. She even was sweet enough to give Cole his birthday present early. Lots and Lots of clothes and of course an entire swim outfit for the beach that included sunglasses!





We dinned on crabs for the first time this season and let me tell you folks they were amazing! There one of my favorite parts about summer! Hubs parents also hosted a dinner Brooke's last night in town so we had a great time with a little photo shoot outside.



And since Brooke won't be here to see Cole on his birthday, I decided it was only fair for her to see him eat a small pre bday cupcake. That Brooke just so happened to get from DC Cupcakes. Very tasty.





 

11 months old!

This week Cole turned 11 months and reality has hit that my days of having a baby are numbered. I have enjoyed every second of the past 11 months and can’t believe how fast the time has flown by.
I have just recently started filling out his baby book and printing pictures, better late than never right?!? I kind of use this blog as his baby book anyway. But I have to say there is something about physically writing down his milestones and holding the pictures that makes my heart ache. Cole has changed so much in the last 11 months, I have loved every stage but wish I had a little more time to enjoy each one. I guess that’s the hard part…they grow up so darn fast!

Here are a few things Cole is up to these days,

* Crawling like a mad man all over the house. The boy moves fast. It’s all about exploring for him right now.

*No attempt at walking yet and I’m fine with that!

*Says Mama, Dada, Duck, Up and has roared like a lion a few times. He also talks gibberish and squeals pretty much ALL the time.

*Has become a pretty big ham at music class, he sits in the middle of the circle so everyone knows he’s there. It’s pretty cute.

*Absolutely adores the pool. He squeals and screams so loud while in the pool , I’m pretty sure people think something is wrong with him. Ha

*His hair has really grown in thick…there have been talks about a haircut. I’m not ready yet.

*His favorite book is still Brown Bear Brown Bear, he leans in to Kiss the children in the book.

*He likes to stand up and pull off every single book on his book shelf

*He loves his John Deer mower and even makes a buzz sound when moving it.

*He’s warming up to finger foods again, we only do puree for one meal. He tried a hamburger slider this past weekend and ate every single bite!

*He loves to cuddle, with us and all his stuffed animals.
