Trick or Treat

Just some quick picks from Trick or Treat on Halloween. Yes I'm 2 weeks late but I was away all last week in Texas for work so this is as good as I can do! Anyway, Cole loved it. Kid couldn't believe that people were handing him candy, he was in the awww the first few houses then he wanted to make sure we went to as many doors as possible to get treats! He did great and said trick or treat and thank you, it was like watching my little boy become a big boy right in front of my eyes. It was so fun to watch the joy and the excitement of Halloween catch a hold of him and be able to experience it all with him. We promised him 3 treats when we got back to the house and homeboy kept us to our word. It took about two days for him to stop asking for treats. Oh and Hubs told me this is the last year he goes with a "cute" costume. Whatever that means...come on isn't he the cutest little tiger you have seen!

Happy Halloween!

Today I made an attempt to take a belly shot when someone decided to get in on the action. Love this little pumpkin so much!

 

 

He's so stinking excited for tonight and keeps saying Trick or Treat or Happy Halloween when ever I ask him about it! We will be going over to have pizza at the Butlers then out to a few houses for some candy! I can't wait to see all the little ones in dressed up in costumes!  

Pumpkin Painting

Since I'm home riding out the storm and seem to still have power I thought why not blog. OK so a few weeks ago we decorated are pumpkins. Like last year I wanted to get Cole involved but without putting a knife in his hands. We stuck strictly to paint and he really enjoyed it. The difference this year was he would ONLY use the brush to paint not his hands. Man are toddlers particular. For Cole and baby Emery's pumpkins I kept it simple and put there initials on the pumpkins and let him go to town.

 

I even got in on the action and taped my pumpkin in a Chevron pattern and spray painted it white. Super easy and I love the way it turned out.

 

I'm really hoping that Sandy doesn't wash out all of Halloween, but at this rate there may not be any Halloween candy left in my house come Wednesday. I knew I should have waited to open it!  



Trick or Treat

I wasn't sure what to expect since Cole is really to young to understand what's going on and well eating candy isn't really the best thing for a toddler.  We met up with our neighbors the Butlers and headed out to a few houses around the neighborhood. Reese lead the way as an adorable Lady Bug while the boys seemed very content riding along in the wagon. Once we hit our street we let the boys walk up to a few houses. They seemed a bit confused why people were all dressed up but seemed to enjoy being outside past dinner time.  I can't wait till next year when these boys are running up with Reese to each house !

Pumpkin Time

With Halloween right around the corner time was running out for us to get our pumpkin carving on! So early Saturday morning we got to it. Knives aren't exactly the ideal thing for a 15 month old to be around so when I saw this post I just had to do it. It was a fun way to allow Cole a chance to get involved in the whole pumpkin thing. Using the washable crayola finger paint we let Cole decorate his own little pumpkin. Was it messy? Sure. Did he love it? Yep.







After he was all done we scooped him up and stripped him down. The paint washed off pretty easily, I was a little skeptical but that stuff rocks. Hubs wanted to carve his pumpkin so Cole was all about helping his daddy clean out all the ooey gooey stuff.





Here's how they turned out. Pretty darn cute. Notice my Ravens pumpkin? Kinda hard to read unless your up close.



So at least we have some Halloween decorations up now. I love all the Halloween decor out there just never got around to it this year. Hubs likes to make me feel better by my slacking saying "We Rock at Christmas Decor!No worries dear." Ha

Halloween on Cypress Lane

This was are second Halloween since moving into our house and we have discovered that Halloween is a big deal on our street.The parents have organized a huge group that go around the neighborhood together, they all are dressed in costume along with there kids. It looks like so much fun and especially the coolers they bring with them that are filled with Adult beverages!But with Cole only being 4 months old this Halloween we sat this year out and waited to hand out candy.
When the kids from our street came to the door, we had to have Cole answer the door with us. We opened the door and in unison the kids screamed "Trick or Treat", this scared the CRAP out of Cole he let out one big cry then stared down at the little kids grabbing for candy. We proceeded to follow the kids out and say hello to all the parents and talked about how much fun next year will be when we can join the group!


Cam picked out Cole's costume a long time ago and it fit perfectly!

Halloween On the Way

Cole's first Halloween is approaching, and we have two adorable costumes for him to wear. I realize that this is more for us to see him all dressed up and looking adorable but what can I say, I LOVE IT!

He's Aunt Coco gave him an adorable Bear costume that I put Cole in this week. He was such a trooper even when feeling under the weather. He loved it!





Second Costume will be for this weekends festivities and we will be sure to take pictures!
