Typical Conversation with Cole

My boy and he's endless talking, from the moment he wakes till he goes down to sleep he is ALWAYS talking. I receive remarks everywhere we go on what talkative a little boy I have. "Hi, I said Hi" Cole shouts to passers by who don't respond with"Hi" quick enough.He surprises me on a daily basis. Of course hearing "mama, what are you doing?" for the 20th time in a half hour can be a little annoying. I can't help but smile every time he asks. So today I decided to take a little video of Cole and me having a little conversation. Oh my little 2yr. old ...I just love this age!

Nursery Rhymes..My kid loves them

After a very busy but fun long weekend in Charlotte for both work and play I couldn't wait to get home yesterday! We all headed over to my parents house and enjoyed the last moments of the weekend for dinner. My little man seems to have grown up while I was gone...really how does it that happen?! It was only four days!Anyway, we were all outside eating and talking and Cole kept singing all his songs trying to get everyone attention. Itsy Bitsy Spider, Row Row Your Boat, and Twinkle Twinkle over and over. Kid loves his Nursery Rhymes. I finally got a little bit of it on camera. This one is twinkle twinkle with a mouth full of food. Hey what can i say it's the best i could get..like a normal toddler when prompted to sing for the camera he is not a fan!

   

 So happy to be home and hear his voice!

I think it's time for a Friday Film...it's been awhile since I picked up the actual video camera. In fact even longer since I actually uploaded any of the videos I have taken. Shame on me. I had videos from 3 months ago I totally don't even remember taking. Oh well.
Word explosion is in full effect at this house...my son said his first sentence to me last night. "Read Nighttime Book"...what?!? I nearly fell over in shock. I mean he's been putting two words together for the last few weeks but this one blew me over. Like Woah. I don't know if it has anything to do with all the talking but Cole can't seem to get enough of his books. All he wants to do is read them or have you read him ALL his books. I love that he's taking such liking to reading. I love to read. Be a bookworm my boy just like your mommy!

He has Moves

First I have to say my son doesn’t always run around in just his diaper. But for some reason every time I video tape him he’s seriouly lacking some clothes. Ha. In this case we had just finished dinner and most of Cole’s dinner was on him rather than in his belly. So we stripped him down. He loves music and dances on a regular occasion. He now says “moic” which means music. He says it and points to the radio for when he wants to hear something.

Last Night’s song of choice was a Cuban version of Coldplay’s Clocks. Nice little gem if I don’t say so myself.

A Few Words

If your a parent to an almost 16month old you know how hard it can be to catch anything on video. In fact unless I have my phone on me these days I don't capture much. Cole has been talking up a storm but whenever I pull out the video camera to get it ,he gets performer anxiety. ha. This one afternoon he seemed to decided to play along for a little while. I'm just shocked by how quickly kids pick up words at this age. He has a desire to know what everything is called and tries his best to say it. We have started to have to spell out Nemo or Toy Story otherwise were are in trouble and have to hear him say it over and over to us until he can watch it. I love this age it's so fun!

Seriously don't you wish you had this kind of energy. He ran around the island about 18 times! Best part it was right after dinner. I swear we didn't feed him straight sugar, the kid is crazy!



He also showed off some of his dance moves...he gets those from his Daddy. Haha

Learning to Walk

So little man has been trying out his walking legs the past 2 weeks and he's getting better and better each day. These days it mostly 4 or 5 steps , crawl ,stand up then 4 or 5 steps. Last night he walked the furthest yet 10 whole steps! I'm having the hardest time trying to catch him walking on video...he starts walking and i stare then think darn it where is my camera! Anyway I did get a few step last week on tape...he's balance has even approved since then but as you can see there has been a few bumps and bruises the past 2 weeks :) Hopefully I can try and get a better video but for now this will do!





No fear it seems....here is him walking right by me and falling into his tent.

Welcome to Teething

Well we had it easy a couple months back when Cole's two bottom teeth came in, I mean he only woke up one time at night a little fussy and nothing more. This time around his two top teeth are causing him some serious pain. My little man is fussy, irritable, restless and even his appetite is gone. Its disrupted his nap time and I can only pray that it doesn't wake him at night.He's chewing on everything in site looking for some mild relief. I have chilled teething rings but they don't seem to be much help. Any suggestions?! Please! I just hope these two big chompers quickly come in and my happy baby returns!




Even with all the pain I was able to coax a smile out of him! Hot Dog Hot Dog Hot Diggity Dog does it every time!


Yes I dance around singing this song to my son. What can I say I'll do pretty much anything to make him happy!

These days Cole seems to be on a mission to destroy all his toys. I don't know if it's the "boy" in him or a stage he is going through but he is destructive! In these videos Cole had just gotten up from a nap so please ignore his attire...he no longer had any patience for overalls.

First don't worry he was not hurt, right after I shut the camera off he stopped crying. He is a bit dramatic. Hubs says he gets that from me. Ha! I can't help but laugh every time I watch him getting mad at me for taking his toy away, this boy is going to be a handful!
