More Christmas

More Christmas Morning Pictures,

Cole's First Christmas!

So I wanted to put this up yesterday but poor little Cole has other plans, little man is very sick. Seems his first Christmas got the best of him and he has cold and a terrible fever. This is the first time I can really tell he doesn't feel well because all he wants is to be held.

Anyway, Christmas morning was held at our house. We had both families over to see Cole open his gifts. Man oh man is this boy spoiled! He seriously had 20 gifts under the tree and he doesn't even know what Christmas is! He did a great job opening his gifts (little help from his momma) and loved being the center of attention. We all had an amazing breakfast after thanks to Vicki and my mom. On the menu, french toast casserole, gravy and biscuits and egg casserole! I think I gained 5 pounds just from that meal. And to top it all off it Snowed! Yep I can't remember a Christmas in my life in Maryland when it had snowed but Cole got snow his very first Christmas!

We had a wonderful time with our families and can't wait till next year. I have a feeling it's going to be very different with Cole being mobile.

Christmas Eve

The festivities began on Christmas Eve at my parents house, like last year we picked names. We try to keep it a surprise who has who but everyone seems to figure out who has who before Christmas arrives. Plus we all give a short wish list of what we want, second year in a row my husband had only the Call of Duty video gameon his list. Yep, he is a 12 year old at heart. My mom wanted to have some fun this year and asked us all to participate in "Shuveunder", everyone has a different name for this but the gist is everyone picks a number then you choose a gift and then the next person can steal it or pick a new gift. My mom said to bring gifts that you had laying around the house that you don't want anymore or have never used. It was hugely entertaining and the Halloween wig was the biggest hit and even got stolen by my very bald Dad! Cole got to open his first Christmas gift and seemed to enjoy tearing the paper more then receiving the gift. :)

Moments like this

It's moments like this why I love having time with my family during the Christmas season. While I was in the kitchen baking brownies (i kid you not) I hear my boys playing in the family room, I tried to sneak up and catch them enjoying each other.

The boy likes to eat

One thing I never have to worry about is Cole eating, as you can see here when he see's he's food he can not wait to eat! He is very vocal when it comes to his food. :)

Tis the Season

To be Jolly and a bit M.I.A. from the world. With all my time off and preparing for Christmas I have had very little time to blog or upload pictures. I have been spending some great one on one time with my little man and it's been wonderful. We have mostly just stuck close to home but ventured out to the Mall one day to just walk around. Cole is at the age that every new thing he sees is utterly amazing to him, he gets big eyes and starts squealing when he See's something he likes.

Cole experienced his first ride in the front of the cart at the grocery store sans car seat. And loved it! He couldn't stop looking around and flirting with the other shoppers. This is a huge change because up to now we had been using the infant car seat which we always brought it in with us. But since we have moved on to the big boy car seat this weekend things they be a changing. It's kinda of a weird feeling like I have lost my security blanket, the convenience and ease of the infant car seat are gone. So when Cole falls asleep in his new car seat and we get to our destination I have to wake him up. No more snapping the car seat to the stroller and off we go. Lets just say it seems like a lot more work! I'm sure I'll adjust and get use to this new way of travel for us. At least Cole seems to like his new digs, there is a lot more room and he's can see out the window.

OK enough rambling...I have presents to wrap and sweets to make.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
