New Nanny

Well we made it through the first week with the new nanny and I couldn’t be more pleased. I had such reservations trusting a complete stranger to watch to Cole but after this week I know I made the right choice. It’s never easy finding the right person to watch your child, you have to trust your gut and do your homework. We interviewed a few nannies, did background checks and called references. In the end we went with the new nanny because it just felt right. She has a 3 year old daughter that she brings along with her when she watches Cole. Hubs and me saw this as a huge plus! Cole has a playmate and gets to stay at his own house. This is huge when it comes to naps…he has always been a good napper but there’s something to say about it being YOUR crib. He’s hasn’t missed a beat this week and is truly so happy. It makes going to work a little easier…well not really but little man is happy and that makes me happy.

13 Months

Today Little Man you turn 13 months old, wasn’t I just singing happy birthday to you?! This was a pretty busy month for you. Here are a few things you have been up to lately. About 2 weeks after your birthday you took your first steps. It’s amazing how quickly you learn new things…each day you move closer and closer to being a full out walker. I officially packed away all your bottles yesterday, we are strictly a Sippy cup household now. And wouldn’t you know it after trying out several different Sippy cups it was the cheapest simplest cup that you have taken a liking too. You are talking up a storm and point at everything and say this. Your very inquisitive about everything around you. Pointing out airplanes never gets old to you. You love to laugh and seem to go out of your way to get a laugh out of us. Playing chase around the house is your favorite game. You can point out your nose and eyes when Mommy or Daddy asks you too. You are still a picky eater, you flip flop everyday on what you will eat. You also enjoy the lovely game of throwing your food on the ground just to watch us pick it up. Oh man are you a clever little one. Your slightly obsessed with drinking apple juice especially if there is a straw involved. You are such a snuggler when it comes to your stuffed animals. Your all boy, playing rough, in the dirt or destroying anything is right up your alley. You have taken to using your drum sticks not only on the drums but on the walls. I can’t imagine it any other way…your full of energy! I love you little man!

Learning to Walk

So little man has been trying out his walking legs the past 2 weeks and he's getting better and better each day. These days it mostly 4 or 5 steps , crawl ,stand up then 4 or 5 steps. Last night he walked the furthest yet 10 whole steps! I'm having the hardest time trying to catch him walking on video...he starts walking and i stare then think darn it where is my camera! Anyway I did get a few step last week on tape...he's balance has even approved since then but as you can see there has been a few bumps and bruises the past 2 weeks :) Hopefully I can try and get a better video but for now this will do!





No fear it seems....here is him walking right by me and falling into his tent.
