Father's Day

Better late then never right?! We made our way down to the beach to spend father's day weekend enjoying the sunshine and sand. The weather didn't exactly turn out as we hoped but we got one day worth of sunshine and Cole loved it. It had been over a year since we had been back to the beach so it was like the first time for him. He was fearless running straight for the ocean and trying to jump waves. Falling down didn't seem to scare him at all ...he just laughed about it and would run right back in. I fear that my beach vacation in a few weeks will be little relaxing but more like lifeguard duty.

We were able to finally convince Cole to build sand castles and man did the dig it. Literally. Ha. The sand kept my wild man busy for over an hour just digging and building. Now if I can just have that in my backyard I would be set!

My parents came down Sunday and we all went out to dinner at this amazing kid friendly place Dead Freddie's. It included a pirate ship with tunnels and slides galore. This place had it all! It was the perfect way to celebrate father's day with the two best dad's i know!

DC!

I'm so behind on blogging..ugg..will i ever catch up?!? Anyway awhile back we headed down to D.C. to meet The Geary Family and head to the The Museum of Natural History.  We decided to take the Metro down because all Cole ever talks about is trains so why not take him on his first train ride?! Well he was a bit apprehensive...he kept saying OK all done and home. It was very crowed and loud so I'm sure that didn't help but I'm happy to report the ride home was much more enjoyable.
It had been probably more than 10 years since I had gone to any Museum's so I wasn't sure what to expect and for that matter if Cole would even enjoy it! Well the kid LOVED it! Cole and Connor ran from each exhibit to another shouting out what they saw, from Animals to Dinosaurs the boys were in heaven. The looks are there faces were priceless!  I'm so thrilled we went and I can't wait for our next big adventure with the boys!

Before meeting up with the Geary Family we enjoyed a small snack and let Cole run around.

Wordless Wednesday

I just got finished this adorable Father's Day Card from Cole to Hubby! Of course i found it on Pinterest. I traced Cole's hand and cut it out then added some stickers. Easy peasy!

The Things Cole Says

The boy just cracks me up.  I'm sure i will forget these in a few years so i I figured I should start writing down the crazy things he's saying these days.

This weekend he was playing with his cars up and over the coffee table.

Cole: “ Mama, car go zoom zoom”
Me: “Yes, zoom zoom”
Cole: Stops playing with his cars. “Alligator” he says over and over pointing. Huh? What is he talking about?

I start looking around trying to figure out why he's saying Alligator over and over? There’s nothing on the coffee table put a water bottle and a bottle of orange Gatorade. And then I realize what he’s talking about. Alligator …..GATORade.

Me: I pick up the bottle and say "Gatorade? "
Cole: "uh huh Alligator." Duh mama

Oh toddlers …that one made me smile.

Friday Films

I have taken LOTS of videos of Cole but never take the time to upload them until today. So Friday Films should be a regular thing if I can just remember to post them now. Ha. My son really really loves the song We Are Young by Fun.. I wouldn't say we play it more than any other song but for some reason this one song makes him want to sing and dance. He's learned most of the chorus and loves to shout it at the top of his longs. Ahhh it makes me smile. Disclaimer to these videos, please ignore the adults singing in the videos. We can't sing at all and some (umm hubs) don't seem to know all the words.

 Happy Friday!
